Hello! I am Annetta Slingerland and I love photography. I love to capture anything that catches my eye whether it’s the tall majestic mountains….the beauty in a tiny wildflower…the special moments in life when we pause to celebrate with a couple as they say their vows…children as they grow up and become adults…a milestone when years later an anniversary is celebrated….. Making memories and capturing these moments is rewarding, fulfilling and amazing for me. I am a wedding and family photographer based in Southern Alberta, Canada but will travel anywhere given the chance. Some dream destinations would include the East Coast, New England states to be exact, a return trip to Switzerland, and some place warm and tropical. The dream of going to the East Coast has now been somewhat fulfilled. In the fall of 2012 I went to a Virginia to attend a photography workshop that was hosted by Katelyn James. I learned how to propel my business forward, use light to my advantage and network with others in this amazing industry of photography.
I am happily married to my husband Darryl and we have one very active happy boy, Aaron. I like to garden, get my hands dirty in the soil and weeding for me is therapy. Crazy, I know. My garden is half flowers because I love working with them, making arrangements and bouquets. I love to also do some DIY on occasion.
